WE help autistic adults reclaim their energy, health and autonomy
Mission statement: Kintsugi OT exists to change the standard of care for neurodivergent people across Australia. We design systems of support that honour nervous systems, energy and identity, enabling lives that are sustainable, self directed and whole.
WHAT IS KINTSUGI OT
Kintsugi OT is a neuro-affirming occupational therapy practice for autistic adults.
We work with people who are exhausted from pushing through environments, systems and expectations that are not built for their nervous system. Our focus is on energy, safety and sustainability in real life, not compliance or performance.
Support is practical, trauma-informed and grounded in how your body, mind and environment actually interact day to day. We slow things down, reduce baseline overload and build systems that support long-term functioning rather than short bursts of coping.
what is kintsugi?
Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold.
Rather than hiding cracks, they are honoured as part of the object’s history. The repair becomes visible, intentional and strong.
This philosophy sits at the core of my work. We do not erase what has been shaped by experience. We work with it. Together we build something more sustainable, functional and honest than what came before.
Kintsugi OT is for autistic adults who are ready to stop pushing through and start living in a way their nervous system can actually support.
location
Kintsugi OT is a telehealth-first practice supporting autistic adults across Australia.
This model is intentional. Telehealth reduces sensory load, travel fatigue and time pressure for clients, allowing sessions to happen in environments that already feel safer and more regulated. It also supports our clinicians to work in a more sustainable way, which leads to more consistent, high quality care.
Most sessions are completed online, however some Kintsugi OT clinicians also provide home visits within 30 minutes of Newcastle, NSW. Availability for home-based services is limited and dependent on clinician capacity.
If you are unsure which option is the best fit, please contact us and we can guide you toward the most suitable service.
