About me

Hi, I’m Nic.

I’m an autistic Occupational Therapist and founder of Kintsugi OT. I graduated with an honours degree in Occupational Therapy in 2015. My work bridges clinical reasoning with the lived reality of neurodivergence. Outside of work I enjoy coffee, yoga and lifting weights. I’m a proud husband and father of two happy children.

I work exclusively with autistic adults, with a focus on safety, sustainability and nervous system stability.

My approach is grounded in real world function. This may include understanding sensory and interoceptive profiles, reducing burnout, unmasking safely, rebuilding self advocacy, navigating PDA driven avoidance, managing chronic health conditions and designing environments that reduce baseline overload.

Kintsugi OT is named after the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold. Rather than hiding the cracks, they are honoured as part of the object’s history. This reflects how I approach occupational therapy. We work with what has been shaped by experience and build something more sustainable from there.
